It's worth noting that whilst the illegal immigration route was rightly the subject of the Telegraph article, the legal immigration route (skilled worker visas, student visas and religious worker visas) poses perhaps an even greater threat to the UK - and from wider than just Iran. There are Islamic Republic sympathisers attempting to come to UK from Iraq, The Levant and Afghanistan too.
I'd be curious as to the best means to prevent this. How do you distinguish a Islamic Republic sympathiser from a person attempting to flee harsh conditions?

I'd only point out that this is something the British Parliament is currently wrestling with - precisely because the Iranian threat is acute.
